Owners play a huge role at the Common Market, which is why we take the opportunity every year to celebrate them. This Saturday, September 22nd, from 12 to 3 p.m., the Common Market is hosting its annual owner meeting: Ownerfest.
Ownerfest is exactly as it sounds—a festival celebrating owners. The event is family-friendly and open to the public, providing an opportunity for those who may be interested in becoming owners to see what the excitement is all about.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect at the celebration:
- Samplings from local businesses, including Zeke’s, The Sweet Farm, Hex Ferments, Trickling Springs, and more!
- Live music
- A chance to see some of our community partners, including E-end and Yogamour
- Food, complements of the Common Market
- Games
- Photobooth
- Raffles
Kids will have a chance to create and paint their own wooden car and race it with others. There will also be face painting.
While Ownerfest is fun and games—literally—it serves as the co-op’s annual owner meeting, where the Board of Directors share important co-op information with owners.
If you’re already an owner, we are excited to see you at Ownerfest. If you’re not an owner, we would still love to see you at Ownerfest—and, while you’re there, fill out your own equity share form to become an owner!
