Board Bylaw Revision Information Session

The Board is excited to present new Bylaws for Owner approval during the next election in September! Are you interested in learning more?

Our hopes are that the new Bylaws will be used by future Boards to better represent our Owners, serve our community, and develop a sustainable future for our Co+op. With full transparency in mind, here are some highlights of what the new Bylaws will be enacting:

• The proposed Bylaws use more straightforward language than our existing Bylaws.
• The proposed Bylaws specify that Member-Owner voting will happen via ballot, and are updated also to include electronic voting.
• The proposed Bylaws clarify that the Board can include up to two Staff Owners.
• The proposed Bylaws include gender neutral language to support our Co-op’s commitment to inclusivity.
• The proposed Bylaws include some updated language that allows the Co-op to manage Patronage dividends more efficiently.
