Joi Foss Vogin, MS, LDN
Joi Foss Vogin is a Family and Consumer Sciences Agent with the University of Maryland Extension in Frederick County, MD. She is a licensed Nutritionist and Clinical Herbalist with over 25 years of experience in nutrition, food safety and herbal medicine. Joi’s areas of interest include the prevention of diabetes, cardiovascular and other chronic diseases through whole foods nutrition, cooking as self-care, and healthy living behaviors. She is a native plant and herbal enthusiast and teaches the importance of safe and sustainable herb use, growth, and harvesting practices.
Joi holds a BS in Biochemistry from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, an MS in Nutrition Science from the University of Georgia, and an MS in Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Her passions include child and family wellness, cultivating and hand-crafting herbal therapeutics, and exploring traditional healing practices.
