The Earth Folk Tales are written for the expanding community of children and families who are reconnecting to nature’s wisdom and finding value in Earth-based knowledge and skills such as foraging, wildcrafting and outdoor survival.

Through an enchanting fairytale-like story, Autumn Forage introduces the reader to key aspects of foraging such as
-embodying respect and gratitude for the plants, mushrooms, trees, insects and animals we encounter on our foraging expeditions
-reciprocity in our foraging
-awareness of the interconnectedness of trees, fungi and herbaceous plants
-a gentle introduction to taxonomy in the glossary at the back of the book
-safety practices such as only foraging with a knowledgeable adult
