The Natural Beekeeping Experience- Session 2 of 3

This 3 session course offers students the opportunity to learn the art of natural beekeeping! Sessions will take place on 3 consecutive Sundays (7/10-7/24) from 1-3pm. The first 2 sessions will take place in the 7th Street Community Room and the 3rd session will be held at a local Frederick Apiary. All sessions are paid for with the ticket purchase on first session event page. Everyone is welcome!
After this class students will:
- Have learned skills necessary to become a successful backyard beekeeper
- Be able to list steps necessary for a thorough hive inspection
- Understand basic techniques on how to keep your beehive healthy and thriving
- Have learned about and experienced products that come from the hive: honey, wax, pollen, propolis, etc.
- Recognize the difference between bee-friendly and “traditional” beekeeping techniques
